I’m in hospitality industry since 1995. In 2005 I decided to open Shiva Intercontinental, Paharganj. I did a good study before opening this hotel like railway station distance from my Hotel, sufficient parking space, sufficient sunlight in rooms etc


My biggest problem was of human dependency. As everyone knows that in Paharganj front office person doesn't stay for more than 6 months. So, whenever our previous manager leaves, we have to consolidate all of the previous booking record like due payments, food invoices etc. It was a huge dependency on staff.

I came to know Myguesthouse in 2010 through one of their executive who also have good business relation with me from more than 5 years. He told me the advantages I can get after becoming a Myguesthouse listed Hotel. After the contracting part, they gave me a demo of their room management system, name PMS. It’s called property management solution. They told me that this system provides them (Myguesthouse) my rooms status & by this they will provide me online bookings as they know whether my rooms are available or not. First I was not sure whether to use this system, but when I started maintaining my room inventory on their tape chart, my online bookings tripled in 2 months. Their PMS is a pretty good solution as not even a single booking has clashed because they are 100% sure that how many rooms are available in Hotel Shiva Intercontinental.
Another thing which I like about is PMS is the Guest contact record maintenance. Here I can maintain all the details like contact numbers, emails, address etc. PMS has really made accounts work less time consuming & has solved our biggest problem of staff dependency
